Boat Boy

This was taken on the way to one of the islands nearby Kota Kinabalu. My family and I were in a boat and a local boy hopped on for a ride to the island. It seems he lioved on the island. It was normal for him to hitch a ride on one of the many boats which sets out to the his 'homeland'.

It was difficult to see him smile. But it didn't matter. He was in his own world and didn't know that he was being a model for the day. Then while in the arms of his mother, he suddenly gave this GAZE towards the lake. Plus the special frown that he has and the long eyelashes, it made him look as if he was in deep thoughts about his future. Maybe he really could see it. Only that he was too young to understand it.

old couple

It was 14 Feb 2010. This old couple was eating an early dinner at a biker-influenced restaurant. This was taken by a friend as the couple was sitting behind me. I like this picture because there seemed to be some kind of communication although they just at there in silence. They were comfortable with each other just beeing there without saying a word.

Another thing was that, in close-up, I noticed a tea bag was sitting on the rim of the cup with a fly perched beside it. That was just unique.

He was the 1st child of my primary school friend. He came with much distress but left the hospital with a smile. And an ever open mouth because he is somehow always hungry. He can even sleep with his mouth open. The day I was there, I couldn't stop myself from capturing his tiny feet although they were peeling.

And the next day, I was there when his umbilical cord fell off. The next big thing for a baby ( I think. Haha).

On the road from Agra

It was hot, scorching. As I walked up to a very red RnR, I saw this path. It somehow reminds me of the yellow brick road although it is far from being yellow. A simple RnR, but the unique brick arrangements made it look more like a small castle.

Went for a drive and decided to turn left. Found an open sea waiting for us. There we admired nature in silence (plus the hushed clicks of my shutter).

my 1st child photo shoot. it was hard for me as i am not trained to play around with lighting much at that point. plus shooting an active subject can be quite challenging. anticipate..anticipate...i kept telling myself. but the important thing is, the client was satisfied :)

my first

At times, pictures tell more stories then anyone can imagine. The mind can create stories of its own with just a teardrop or a bunch of fruits hanging from a window sill.

These in this blog are my own, from my Pentax. Hope you enjoy them as much as me.
